1.6 Tracking and Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files that your browser saves to your terminal device. Cookies support website functionality and allow us to analyse and personalise your activities in order to make our offerings more user-friendly, effective and personal.
The first category of cookies, i.e. the ones supporting website functionality, are called functional cookies. Without them, you couldn’t visit our website.
Cookies and similar technologies needed for analysis and personalisation are called consent-based cookies. Saving these cookies is not a requirement for visiting our website. However, not using them may restrict your user experience and access to the website functions. These cookies are stored on your terminal device only if you consent to it.
We use the Usercentrics Consent Management platform supplied by Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 München, Germany, to obtain and store your consent in conformity with data protection legislation.
In this context, Usercentrics GmbH acts as the processor who GELITA sends personal data (consent-based data) to for the purpose of data processing. Consent-based data is comprised of the following data: date and time of your visit and/or your consent/denial and some device details. Data is processed for the purpose of conforming to statutory obligations (obligation to demonstrate consent pursuant to art. 7(1) of the GDPR) and for providing the associated documentation of consent pursuant to art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR. Data is stored locally.
Consent-based data is kept for 1 year. Data is based on servers in the European Union.
Here you will find the Privacy Notice of the supplier of the Usercentrics Consent Management platform including further information on which data is collected and how you can contact the supplier.
You can change your cookie consent settings here at any time.

Disabling cookies may restrict the website’s functionality.
Ensuring Website Functionality
We use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the functionality of the website. Without them, we couldn’t operate our website. For example, cookies allow us to
- save you preferred website language and similar settings for your next visit;
- spread website inquiries to various webservers (load balancing);
- give a uniform context (session) to multiple website inquiries;
- run a consent management with regard to cookies and similar technologies.
Our legitimate interest in data processing is to enable a smooth usability of our website.
This processing is lawful based on our legitimate interest pursuant to art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR or art. 25(1)(2) of the German Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG).
Analysis and Personalisation
Based on your consent, we also use cookies and similar technologies to be able to analyse, and adapt our website to, what users do on our website.
Provided you gave your consent, we process the details of your terminal device and browser every time you interact with our website. Information we collect includes, but is not limited to, your current language setting, whether you are using a smartphone or a desktop computer, or the country in which your inquiry originates.
We also process information about how you interact with our website, e.g. which URL referred you to our website or which path you take when navigating our subpages. This helps us find out whether you found us by means of a search engine (and by which keyword, if so) or an advert, how long you stayed on a specific page, and how many pages you visited.
We use this information to analyse what users do on our website and to optimise the website accordingly.
This processing is lawful based on your consent pursuant to art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR or art. 25(1) of the TTDSG. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time and for future reference by clicking on the Fingerprint icon to access the Tracking Settings menu. Google Analytics uses cookies. The cookies generate information on your use of this website, which is generally transferred to and stored on one of Google’s servers in the USA.
Apart from using the Tracking settings on our website, you can stop the transfer of data generated by the cookies about your use of this website (incl. your IP address) to and its processing by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following address: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
